In the context of the Collaborate Research Centre “Re-Figuration of Spaces”, Stefan Kirchner and I are organizing a conference on **“Varieties of Refiguration? On Multiple Spatialities, Spatial Arrangements & the Economy1”** (Thursday/Friday, 21./22.11.2024 + Excursion Days).
Among the speakers presenting are Liam Campling (UK), Supriya Chaudhuri (India), Rainer Diaz-Bone (Switzerland), Beatriz Bustos Gallardo (Chile), Şahan Savaş Karataşli (USA), Priyasha Kaul (India), Kwee Hui Kian (Singapore), Klaus Kraemer (Austria), Pei-Chia Lan (Taiwan), Frédéric Lebaron (France), Tatenda Mukwedeya (South Africa), Samuel Owuor (Kenya), Anju Mary Paul (United Arab Emirates) and Seth Schindler (UK). These international speakers will present their work and relate it to the concepts of the CRC in order both to address blind spots and give us further ideas what might be relevant to the topic. The excursions will give us the opportunity for joint ethnography and getting to know the international guests better.
